Datasphir Student Outreach Initiative Launches at UNILAG
As part of Datasphir's efforts to build capacity, we are excited to announce the launch of our Student Outreach Initiative connecting students with open technology opportunities.
We are excited to announce the launch of the Datasphir Student Outreach Initiative at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). This programme aims to facilitate knowledge sharing, offer mentoring, and create internship opportunities to support students' development in Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Open Science Infrastructure.
To kickstart this initiative, on July 29th, 2024, Datasphir's Business Operations Manager, Florence Iweha, officially handed over a carrier-grade router with 10G interfaces and WiFi-6 enterprise access points for an eduroam pilot at NitHub to the Ag. Director, Dr. Victor Odumuyiwa, at the University of Lagos, Akoka campus.
eduroam is a secure, worldwide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.
2024 Focus Areas
Our 2024 focus will include activities designed to build on this foundation. Specifically, the Federated Identity Bootcamp scheduled from September 25th to 27th, 2024, will provide students with hands-on experience with digital identity management.
