We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us scale our open-technology platform infrastructure across West Africa.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our products
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/DigitalOcean) with Infrastructure as Code
- Monitor platform performance and respond to incidents
- Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture decisions
- Implement security best practices across all infrastructure
Requirements
- 3+ years of DevOps/Platform Engineering experience
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Proficiency in Linux systems administration
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar)
- Knowledge of open source infrastructure tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with NREN or academic network infrastructure
- Familiarity with identity federation (Shibboleth, SAML, OIDC)
- Contributions to open source projects
